“Big Brother Kai, don’t worry. It’s all taken care of. Everything that could be smashed has been smashed to pieces. There’s no way they’re getting a good night’s sleep tonight.”
Monkey’s grin was cruel, his eyes glinting with malice.
He knew that in a one-on-one fight, he probably wasn’t a match for Jiang Xiaotian anymore, but he was too proud to admit it out loud. That’s why he had suggested this method.
Rather than putting his life on the line, why not just tear the guy’s house apart? Monkey had made up his mind: if Jiang Xiaotian dared to hurt his people, then he’d make sure Jiang Xiaotian suffered a fate worse than death.
So, every time the house was repaired, Monkey would just come around and smash it up again. Call the police? So what? He had plenty of ways to get out of trouble.
On the other end of the call, Chen Kai nodded in satisfaction, feeling a dark pleasure. He’d been humiliated today, and just thinking of Jiang Xiaotian’s smug expression made his blood boil.
He wondered what kind of wonderful expression Jiang Xiaotian was wearing now...
“Trying to challenge me? Overestimating yourself!”

Ling’er grabbed Jiang Xiaotian’s arm, ready to leave. She was fuming.
The human world was far more entertaining than she’d imagined, so even after her injuries had healed, she had no intention of returning home just yet.
But at the same time, it was far more despicable than she’d thought.
Among the dragon clan, there might be the occasional infighting, but much more often, everyone helped each other. The weak were taken care of by the strong.
Here, though, Jiang Xiaotian was subjected to every kind of bullying and humiliation.
Ling’er had once looked down on him, believing he had no backbone.
But after spending time together, she realized the real world simply didn’t give him a chance.
To put it bluntly, she felt sorry for him.
Jiang Xiaotian still held the box in his hands.
He didn’t resist, nor did he react at all.
He’d thought he could finally stand tall, but reality had hit him hard.
Seeing his dejected state, Ling’er grew even angrier.
This was Jiang Xiaotian’s home, yes, but it was also her place to stay now. Who was the idiot bold enough to do this?
“Forget it, Sister Ling’er. Let’s just go back. I can clean up quickly. If things are broken, I’ll just buy new ones.”
Jiang Xiaotian was exhausted; these people were like persistent ghosts, always causing trouble for him no matter where he went.
“No way. Now that they know where you live, what if they come back? Are you planning to just keep swallowing your anger? Besides, your place is way too small. I don’t want to live there. I’ll just buy a new house.”
Ling’er spoke the absolute truth. She was a trueborn princess of the dragon clan, used to living in palatial halls. Jiang Xiaotian’s cheap rental was cramped and dark—if it weren’t for him keeping it spotless, she wouldn’t have stayed a moment.
“But…”

“Aren’t you a man? Why are you dithering so much? Just take me house-hunting. I want the best. That’s all you need to do!” Ling’er was growing impatient.
Jiang Xiaotian had no choice but to shut up and lead the way.
Offending a dragon princess was not an option.
Since she insisted on the best, it had to be the city’s most luxurious villas: Royal Glory Gardens in Beihai, where prices soared into the millions per unit.
Ling’er had no concept of money, staring blankly when she heard the numbers, but simply said to get the best.
Jiang Xiaotian stopped worrying—he wasn’t planning to live there anyway. No matter how golden or silver a nest may be, it could never replace his own humble den.
They encountered no trouble at the sales office; everything went smoothly.
Ling’er truly had money; she swiped her card and bought a luxury mansion of over four hundred square meters without so much as blinking.
“So Father is so rich in the human world, and he never told me!” Ling’er pouted, giddy with delight.
She knew her elder brother always did business with their father in the mortal realm, but she herself was a notorious homebody—playing music and painting at home, but utterly useless outside. No wonder she needed Jiang Xiaotian to take care of everything.
The sales staff were over-the-top enthusiastic, treating Ling’er as if she were their own mother.
She’d bought a fully-furnished, move-in-ready home—no wonder the price was astronomical. Ling’er never glanced at the amount, but when Jiang Xiaotian pulled the receipt from the POS machine, he almost fainted.
Over six million!
He barely had six thousand to his name!
So this was the world of the rich!
“Miss Jiang, Mr. Jiang, let me take you directly to see your new home. We have a car ready for you. Since it’s fully furnished with all amenities, you could move in as soon as today!” The saleswoman’s voice trembled—this month would be the best of her entire career.
Ling’er’s mood brightened further. She grabbed Jiang Xiaotian’s hand and pulled him along.
He was stunned. After all those years with Chu Ran, the most they’d ever done was hold hands—nothing more.
Feeling awkward, he tried to pull away.
But Ling’er’s strength was something else. She thought he was resisting and, with a tug, yanked him right up close. “Don’t be stubborn with me!”
In her mind, it was like a dragon grabbing its prey—they were, by nature, hunters.
The villa complex was in the heart of the city, surrounded by sound barriers, so inside it was especially quiet.
“Most residents here are either wealthy or powerful. There are even celebrities who own homes. But judging by your status, I’m sure you won’t mind,” the saleswoman explained.
She’d met her share of high rollers in this job, but most paid in installments or took out loans. Paying in full with a black card like Ling’er—that was the mark of the truly wealthy!
Neither of them was listening. One just wanted to hurry up and see the house, the other was eager to get home and clean up.
“We’ve arrived, please step out,” the saleswoman said. Before their eyes stood a palatial mansion.
It was a pure European-style building, understated on the outside but with massive floor-to-ceiling windows offering a glimpse of the opulent interior.

Jiang Xiaotian was transfixed. He’d never seen such a beautiful house.
Ling’er was equally amazed. Her own home was all traditional Chinese architecture—she’d never seen anything like this Western opulence before.
After touring the mansion, Ling’er was completely smitten.
It was huge, majestic, perfectly furnished, with TVs, computers, everything!
Ling’er was like a little girl, already assigning rooms.
“From now on, you’ll live here. This is your room. See? I treat you well!” Ling’er said proudly—after all, it was her purchase.
Of course, the property was still registered in Jiang Xiaotian’s name.
He had no ulterior motives; it simply wasn’t in his nature—and who would dare covet a dragon’s possession?
“Thank you, Sister Ling’er! I’ll go tidy up my room.”
Ling’er suddenly grinned mischievously. “Oh? Didn’t you say just now you wanted to go back to your old place? Weren’t you planning to clean up at home?”
Jiang Xiaotian was embarrassed, but he’d grown thick-skinned. “No, a golden nest or a silver nest—either is better than my old doghouse.”
Ling’er snorted and went off to arrange her own things, positively delighted—the place was exactly to her taste.
Jiang Xiaotian began to tidy up his room as well. Although it was already spotless, he wanted to rearrange a few things.
He charged his phone and, upon checking the date, realized he hadn’t been to class in days. At this rate, he’d probably fail this semester!
He’d spent days working nonstop to buy Chu Ran a birthday present, skipping classes, and lately, with a dragon to look after, he’d been even busier.
Tomorrow, he’d have to go to school, or it would really be over for him.
Ling’er, meanwhile, ran around the house, unable to hide her joy.
To her, money was just a passing thing—spend it and it’s gone. Happiness was what mattered most.
“Hey, if you’re not busy, start practicing your Dragon Breath Technique. I’ll be checking from now on, and if you don’t pass… hmph!” Ling’er waved her tiny fist, though that little fist could probably kill a bull.
Jiang Xiaotian nodded, not daring to slack off. He was determined—he had little else to rely on, and now that he’d finally gotten an opportunity, he wouldn’t let it slip by. As soon as his room was in order, he sat cross-legged and began cultivating.
He had to admit, the new house’s environment was excellent. The spiritual energy wasn’t exactly abundant, but it was much better than before.
But just as he began to absorb the energy, he felt a gaze upon him, sending a chill down his spine.
The sensation quickly vanished. He opened his eyes, saw nothing, and assumed it was just his imagination.
Ling’er, however, stood at the window, lost in thought. “It seems there’s a human expert nearby.”
