Chapter 7: A Windfall from the Heavens
Yu Zui, an avid promoter of “Buy and Recommend,” arrived at her shop early in the morning. She placed the container gifted by the system yesterday next to another container, arranging five bottles of beverages on each. After setting them up, she updated the shop’s images on the Little Orange Book app.
Then, Yu Zui officially opened the shop doors and sat behind the counter, logging into Qiao Yuxin's short video account. She wasn’t sure if Qiao Yuxin had posted any videos yet. Upon opening the account, she saw that Qiao Yuxin was livestreaming.
Without hesitation, Yu Zui entered the stream and was astonished to find the live viewers had exceeded ten thousand. Most importantly, Qiao Yuxin was recommending Yu Ji’s Oolong Tea!
“It tastes really good. Mixed with milk, it’s much better than the usual milk teas I drink. It must be because the Oolong Tea is high quality,” she said, then proceeded to enjoy a hearty drink on the live stream.
The comments below flooded in:
“Which brand is this Oolong Tea? If you’re advertising, you should say.”
“Any new Oolong Tea flavors recently?”
“The recommendations are getting smarter. Knowing I want to lose weight, it directly pushed me into the streamer’s live room.”
“This live room is really popular.”
“I’m a loyal fan. The streamer lost two pounds just from drinking Yu Ji’s Oolong Tea yesterday.”
“That’s faster than any medicine!”
“That’s because Oolong Tea boosts metabolism. If metabolism increases, losing weight is natural. I’ve followed the streamer for a long time. She wouldn’t lie to us. If she were selling products, she’d say so openly—no need to deceive us.”
“New fans don’t believe it. Can we just watch?”
“Yu Ji Oolong Tea? I searched online, no results!”
“You can watch the streamer’s vlog. She bought it at a shop near a tourist spot.”
“Just came back from there. 300ml costs 188 yuan? That’s expensive!”
“The streamer is rich; she bought ten bottles at once!”
“Didn’t you see? The streamer tasted it before buying. Anyone who knows her knows the flavor is good.”
“Yes, she’s gulping it down right now. I admit, it’s tempting.”
“I’m near Wan Ning Old Street; I’m going to buy some.”
“Anyone who buys, please give feedback!”
“I didn’t buy Yu Ji Oolong Tea. I bought Yu Ji Iced Black Tea yesterday. I felt really good after drinking it. Today, I’ll buy the Oolong Tea.”
“Could it be that since the streamer is near S City, most fans are from there too?”
“...”
Reading through the comments, Yu Zui was thrilled. Many people said they intended to buy it. Although it was just Oolong Tea, selling it still meant profit for her!
Yu Zui started enthusiastically liking Qiao Yuxin’s posts. Soon, Qiao Yuxin finished her first drink with a somewhat lingering expression.
“Friends, the taste is really good! It’s instantly different from other Oolong Teas! Also, to ensure the weight loss effect, my live room is open all day. I’ll be active in the living room,” she said.
Then Qiao Yuxin sat on the living room sofa, watching TV and interacting with fans. Yu Zui kept liking posts until customers arrived at her shop.
“Do you sell Oolong Tea here?”
“Yes!” Yu Zui replied promptly.
“I want one bottle! Why are there so few on the shelves?” the customer asked curiously.
“To look better arranged,” Yu Zui said, trying to cover up the limited stock.
The customer nodded knowingly and didn’t hesitate to take an Oolong Tea to the counter. “Is there a 5 yuan discount for public reviews?”
“Yes.”
“I’m a fan of ‘Lightning Slim,’ and I trust her, so I’m trying it.”
“Don’t worry! Our product has no additives and is absolutely safe!” Yu Zui assured her. “As for the effect, it varies by person, but it does boost metabolism.”
Yu Zui didn’t overpromise the weight loss effect—she feared trouble if someone didn’t lose two pounds.
The customer paid and left without further comment. Gradually, more fans of ‘Lightning Slim’ came to buy the Oolong Tea, keeping Yu Zui busy. Soon, she was wholesaling ten bottles at a time.
Some Iced Black Tea also sold alongside. After all, fans willing to pay 188 yuan per bottle had decent purchasing power.
Throughout the day, Yu Zui kept restocking, as a surge of fans attracted many tourists. Seeing people crazily buying 188-yuan drinks, many silently doubted. But Yu Zui seized every chance, offering tourists cool samples of the Iced Black Tea.
With profits rising, she expanded the shop’s popularity. Not riding this wave would be foolish.
Outside the shop, Zhu Yaqin arrived with her tour group friends.
“Yaqin, this shop’s business is pretty good!” one said.
Yes, Zhu Yaqin had come after recovering from heatstroke yesterday. She had rested separately while her friends played, and when she returned with drinks, they teased her for being fooled.
But after tasting the Iced Black Tea, they were amazed—not just by the flavor but by its effect. Especially those sensitive to heat felt immediate cooling relief.
They had been at other scenic spots and couldn’t come sooner, but today they arrived, surprised by the lively scene.
“Good stuff, everyone loves it!” Zhu Yaqin replied calmly.
Just then, her phone rang.
“Sweetheart, what’s up?” Zhu Yaqin asked.
“Mom, I want Yu Ji Grocery’s Oolong Tea. Since you’re in S City, can you buy some for me?”
“Mom already bought some for you yesterday. How did you know about Yu Ji Oolong Tea?” Zhu Yaqin was puzzled—had the word spread so fast? The shop had just opened yesterday.
“I saw a weight-loss streamer who lost several pounds drinking Oolong Tea. I read the comments. Many say the streamer is trustworthy…”
“Stop following that stuff all the time. You’re not even fat. But if you avoid those messy pills, I’ll buy you more,” Zhu Yaqin warned over the phone.
Compared to pills, she trusted Yu Ji Grocery’s Oolong Tea more.
“Okay! Love you, Mom. Bye, have fun,” her daughter said, then hung up.
Zhu Yaqin sighed to her friends, “My daughter probably saw the owner’s ad and asked me because of that.”
“This owner’s pretty capable!”
“Let’s buy some too.”
The friends grew excited and entered the shop with Zhu Yaqin.
Yu Zui had opened a bottle of Iced Black Tea for the tourists to sample freely.
Taking advantage of the break, she checked the shop’s app and saw 18 bottles of Iced Black Tea had sold by morning.
Looking at the time, just over two hours remained. Yu Zui doubted she’d complete the advanced version of her task today.
But seeing that over eighty bottles of Oolong Tea had sold, earning more than 1,200 yuan, she felt refreshed.
“Boss, I’m back!” a voice called out.
Looking up, Yu Zui’s eyes lit up—it was the wealthy lady from yesterday.
“Sister, you’re here!” Yu Zui greeted warmly. “Are these your friends?”
“Yes, they’re interested in your Iced Black Tea and want to buy some,” Zhu Yaqin said, smiling brightly at the word ‘sister’—this owner had a sweet tongue!
“Great!” Yu Zui was overjoyed and immediately handed freshly poured drinks to them. “Try it.”
“Thank you.”
They sipped and confirmed the flavor matched what they’d enjoyed yesterday.
“I want ten bottles of Iced Black Tea, ten bottles of Oolong Tea, please ship them!”
“Me too.”
“Me as well.”
They believed their own experience, and as regular tea drinkers, they could tell the tea leaves were of good quality. Over three thousand yuan was a mere trifle for them.
Yu Zui was speechless.
Heavens! A windfall!
Forty bottles!
Could her advanced task be completed just like that?
