Chapter Two

Os acertos e erros de sua vida Pessoa solitária 510 words 2026-08-04 09:12:32

Everyone is born with their own destiny, and he had his as well. His life was both ordinary and full of ups and downs. When he was born, his grandmother was overjoyed to see that he was a boy, her first grandson. She smiled from ear to ear and eagerly took him home, paying no attention to his mother still in the hospital room.

As he approached his first birthday, his mother went away to work in another city, leaving him in his grandmother’s care. But his grandmother was overwhelmed. He had a younger cousin, just a few months younger, whose mother stayed home idly and did no work or earning, only spending money. His grandmother was helpless in the face of this. Strangely, the once radiant grandmother seemed changed after his cousin was born, as if she feared the cousin’s mother.

His cousin was always cradled in his grandmother’s arms. Meanwhile, he, still unable to walk, fell countless times behind her but never received sympathy—only scolding. “You’re so old and still can’t walk? Are your legs boneless?” he was reprimanded. He dared not argue or cry, knowing it was useless and would only bring more scolding. As a result, many scars marked his forehead, scars that would never fade. When one is young, hatred does not take root easily; even if it does, time slowly dulls it away.
