Meng Yuan’s face was a picture of embarrassment, and the heat in her cheeks continued to rise.
Leicester gave a soft laugh, pretending not to notice a thing. “Why is Yuan Yuan’s face so red? Is it too warm?”
“Mm, it’s… a little warm.” Meng Yuan hurried to answer him, utterly failing to notice the sly glint in his eyes.
“Too warm? Then what should we do?”
“Why don’t I help Yuan Yuan take off her outer clothes and cool down a little?”
Outer clothes? Big brother, I’m wearing only one layer—where would I get outer clothes from? Meng Yuan had just opened her mouth to refuse when a pair of large hands already locked around both her wrists.
Leicester pressed her down onto the sofa, pinning her hands above her head while his other hand gently stroked her cheek…
“Dad, what do you think?” Meng Hailong asked with a frown. He thought this was a perfectly convenient arrangement, and everyone ought to support it. How could anyone possibly object?
One fortunate thing was that there were practically no pests or diseases here, so there was no need to worry about insects in the soil eating the seeds.
His body shook violently. A sudden chill entered through the top of his skull, and Williams awoke from the nightmare with a start, cold sweat covering his forehead and entire body.
Whether the dragonfolk were overly confident or had some other reason, the training grounds were open and scarcely guarded. As a result, Leisheng’s journey there went remarkably smoothly.
He felt Zhao Min was absolutely right. Letting Meng Hailong take a look at He Mei would cost them nothing. Besides, allowing him to examine her did not necessarily mean they had to let her treat him.
The long sword, infused with mana, pierced another vampire through the heart. As for the first one, he was still waiting to see how long it would take the man to die after his head had been severed.
Another barrage of artillery fire followed. The waves of the explosions actually suppressed the raging Tao River, but when the mist finally dispersed, Bai Meng still saw the river god standing there alive and well, albeit in a rather bedraggled state.
“Hey!” The middle-aged man stared blankly at Su Qianyi’s hurriedly departing figure, then glanced at Yu Nuo, who was utterly absorbed in what she was doing.

After listening to Grant, Hua’er Qiulei, who had been prepared to agree, suddenly hesitated. Grant felt inexplicably uncomfortable as well.
“Then did he explain what happened at the last press conference?” Shu Han’s gaze wavered uncertainly.
Feng Ye hurriedly raised his saber to block, but Ye Yuntian’s sword sent such a shock through his hand that his tiger’s mouth went numb, and the weapon nearly slipped from his grasp.
He had heard that locusts were ravaging the eastern regions and that refugees were fleeing everywhere. He had never expected them to reach Jiangzhou County.
There were even several more Transcendents, raising Xia’s odds severalfold in the coming struggle over the ancient ruins.
Lang Yeyao knew that Fu Zhisou would not take her to meet her parents, but she could not simply stand by and do nothing. She could only coax her into staying. Trapped and unable to take a single step, Fu Zhisou seethed with resentment. During those days, she would argue with people even when she went out, and sometimes nearly came to blows. Fortunately, Lang Yeyao always arrived in time.
What they had not expected was that the Fu family had expanded its influence so far in silence. Even Yuncheng, known as the Hidden City, had their informants. They had already placed spies there back when Yuncheng maintained no contact with the outside world; now that the city had opened its gates, gathering information was as easy as reaching into a bag.
“Grandmaster, do not forget that I once defeated a martial artist at the peak of the Soul Formation realm.” Nangong Yun smiled faintly, and a sinister, vicious glint flashed through his eyes.
As long as it was for your brother, you were willing to give up everything. Even if you were hurt once more, you would accept it willingly—was that it?
Thinking of this, Zhang Yu could not help laughing bitterly. He seemed to understand, at last, the suffering that had so often filled the Crown Prince’s heart.
After Dao Changsheng watched everyone leave, he beckoned to Jiang Nannan and walked toward the rear courtyard.
But by then it was already dark, and there were no vehicles in the village. They could only receive some basic treatment at the village clinic first, then wait until daybreak to find a vehicle and take her to the town hospital for surgery to remove the shards of glass embedded in her chest.
Later on, he had even considered leveling the Himalayas with explosives and letting the currents of the Indian Ocean blow into China’s interior, creating a region beyond the frontier as beautiful and fertile as Jiangnan.
There was nothing particularly unusual about this. Even the delegation sent by Yang Rui was, after all, merely a commercial mission; it could not yet be considered a diplomatic delegation of a political nature.
The coachman turned out to be the steward of some minister’s household nearby, while the person inside the carriage was presumably that minister himself. Hearing the voice, Li Ru felt his heart stir faintly, as though he had realized something.

From then on, he stood on his own, leading troops into battle. Wherever he went, he conquered every obstacle and won every fight, repeatedly accomplishing extraordinary feats. His countrymen hailed him as the Invincible General. In twenty years, he had never suffered a defeat. In the hearts of many, he had long since surpassed his father and become the nation’s new guardian deity.
But the Heavenly Demon had already reached the end of the Celestial Ladder. In an instant, it plunged into the white clouds and vanished from the sight of viewers across the world.
Huang Yi released four of his wide-area attack abilities in a single breath, instantly covering a radius of two to three hundred meters. Beneath the feet of countless players, searing magma erupted. The air filled with green poisonous fog, while innumerable bolts of lightning crashed down from the sky.
Guo Jia had not come merely to speak of contacting the clans of Xuzhou and throwing Liu Lan into disarray. Reality had already forced its way before them. Or rather, his and Yuan Shao’s strategy was already perfectly clear: they intended to seize Xuzhou. Their alliance was the key to defeating Liu Lan—but what would happen after Liu Lan was crushed?
What Tian Feng said was simply the truth. He could not stop the other warlords from coming. His only possible response was to strengthen himself. So long as he made no mistakes, there was nothing the others could do to him.
Naturally, Yang Rui was not pleased merely because of the results achieved by this attack. At the same time, he had received a system notification—the thing he truly cared about.
“I was puzzled too at first, but when I saw that he still had more than eighty percent of his health left, I understood. This really isn’t a mystery at all. Think carefully about what instant-kill abilities there are, and you can figure it out quite easily! It’s not difficult—really, it’s very simple.” Qin Shiyu smiled faintly.
Although his strength far surpassed that of the others, Su Zhengfeng did not enter the fray. For one thing, with his level of insight, these worldly possessions were not worth fighting over. For another, he had matters of his own to attend to.
When Chen Niannian and Li Mengmeng arrived together, they saw Liang Yuxin tending Yue Jiaoyang’s scrapes from the fall, her eyes gentle and her movements meticulous.
Although the account was wildly exaggerated and padded with plenty of embellishment, it portrayed Tan Tian as unrivaled beneath heaven and peerless upon the earth—more godlike than the gods themselves.
As a visitor from another world, Chen Fusheng’s fate naturally drifted beyond this world’s chessboard of destiny. Yet every additional trace he left behind here deepened his karmic entanglement with the world, gradually drawing him into the game—just as had happened with the Mei family and the Church of Ocean and Storm.
