Final Chapter

I am grateful to the readers who have followed the story this far.

Regrettably, I must discontinue this book.

While I may not be able to write the story to its conclusion, I can at least outline the brief plot points that would have followed.

[The Cult Arc]
A faction of hunters utilizes Soul Boxes to gain greater power. These Soul Boxes originate from An Yizang, who possesses the Sacrificial Demon Eye. Like Michen, An Yizang has a system, but his abilities are reincarnation and sacrifice. Upon death, he can reincarnate into a target; his other ability, sacrifice, allows him to offer others' power to himself to gain potent souls. Mu Heng has been hunting An Yizang and, upon discovering his reincarnation ability, suspects that Michen’s sudden awakening and rapid growth in strength are linked to An Yizang—or that Michen might even be his reincarnation. Eventually, they realize Michen is not An Yizang, and Mu Heng invites Michen to join the investigation. They successfully kill An Yizang, and Michen’s Demon Eye is enhanced. Following this, Michen makes a name for himself, rising to the rank of a 3-star hunter.

[The Frenzy Arc]
As Li, the Wine-Head, deepens his investigation, he discovers that the magic around Junyang City has become extremely unstable, leading to the appearance of "Boundless Realms." These are level-less realms that vanish once the realm boss is defeated. Though dangerous, they contain precious treasures. Michen joins the investigation team, and after a series of probes, they locate the boss, only to find the room empty. Li orders an emergency evacuation, and the Boundless Realm vanishes. At that moment, a monster in human form infiltrates Junyang City. After several murders, the Administration identifies the creature. Michen tracks it down, but their duel is interrupted when the monster vanishes. Soon after, multiple Boundless Realms appear around the city, pouring forth swarms of monsters. Junyang City faces a crisis, and the battle for its survival begins. During the conflict, Michen promotes to a 5-star hunter, yet he is still no match for the lead monster. Ultimately, Michen’s master, Qi Wu, intervenes. Despite having no magic power of his own, he uses artifacts to briefly imbue himself with immense strength. Qi Wu and the mastermind monster perish together, granting humanity a pyrrhic victory.

[The Ocean Arc]
Devastated by his master’s death, Michen takes Qi Xiaoyun to the White Eagle Nation. On a cruise ship, they encounter monsters. Michen’s intervention catches the eye of the young heiress of the Starlink Group, who hires him as a bodyguard. During this time, they discover that monster-worshipping cults have formed within the nation, particularly in impoverished districts. Even the heiress’s family is involved. She reveals this is linked to a newly appeared S-rank realm. The Realm Administration commissions the "Chosen Sword"—the guild to which Qian Li belongs—to investigate. Michen and Qian Li reunite in the realm, where they find the mastermind behind the cults, Fushi. Fushi also possesses a Demon Eye—the Chimera Demon Eye—allowing him to merge with monster bodies to gain power. A self-proclaimed creator of a new era, he is formidable, but Michen and Qian Li eventually defeat him, only for Fushi to be rescued by a powerful human-monster hybrid at the last second.

[The Fall Arc]
Following these events, the Realm Administration holds a high-level meeting. Realms have become increasingly unstable, and human-monsters are appearing frequently. The Northern Federation captures one, learning of a prophecy regarding humanity's destruction. As leaders devise countermeasures, the Astronomical Bureau sends an urgent alert: the moon has vanished. A "Super Boundless Realm" descends, and the human-monsters go mad, claiming the "Dominators" have arrived. Within a month, the boundary between reality and the realms blurs. Monsters roam freely, and humanity faces total annihilation. Mysterious beings known as Dominators appear, possessing overwhelming power. The only way to destroy them is to travel to the Primal Realm, the "Dark Border." Michen enters as part of the vanguard. With the help of a terrifying black shadow he encountered previously, he trains and defeats the king of the realm’s monsters, obtaining the "Primal Blood" and becoming the King of Monsters. Meanwhile, Qian Li is critically wounded in the depths of the border. The administration implants the "Moon Core"—an artifact born when the realms descended—into her. Another artifact, the "Eye of the Firmament," resides within a young girl named Tiantong at the Administration; her existence alone sustains the psychic towers protecting humanity. The Moon Core grants Qian Li great power but begins to strip away her memories and humanity. After further adventures, Michen and Qian Li defeat the Dominators. However, to save Qian Li, Michen sacrifices his Primal Blood and his own life. In the process, he discovers the secret of the Demon Eyes: the system originated from a Great Deity. As he nears death, a strange power casts him into the Purgatory.

[The Purgatory Arc]
Banished to the Purgatory, Michen realizes this is a realm. Having lost all his skills, he retains only his "Loot" ability. He consumes power in the darkness until a glimmer of light appears, leading him to a meadow. Michen has transformed into a mercury slime. He meets a girl, and through their interactions, he learns he is not in a realm, but in the world before the realms were created—the world of Star Gods and Titan Gods. The secret of the realms is unveiled: when a universe nears extinction, realms appear. Human-monsters and Dominators exist only to accelerate this destruction. The variable is the "Demon God," who possesses Demon Eyes and grants them to humans to alter the extinction and create an eternal cycle. To return to his world, Michen must recover the Demon God's other six eyes: Loot, Sacrifice, Chimera, Curse, Flame Calamity, Illusion, and Contract. Michen begins a series of battles to collect them. Finally, at the ruins of the Star Gods and Titan Gods, Michen defeats a phantom of the Demon God and returns to his original world—specifically, to the moment he first obtained his Demon Eye, the beginning of the story.

[The Reboot Arc]
Awakening in the realm, Michen now possesses the Loot Demon Eye. He clears his path, collecting the other eyes. Before the moon can fall, he enters the Dark Border, prevents the Dominators' arrival, and finds the "Heart of the Universe." He stops the extinction, and all realms vanish. Yet, a problem remains: death is the destination for all things. If the world never dies, it enters an eternal cycle of time. Is this right? Michen hesitates, and in that moment, he realizes the truth: this was all a plot by the Demon God, who was using him to seek his own resurrection.
