Volume One, Chapter 43: Ruthlessly Beating the Scoundrel
Deer Qingcheng heard Deer Miao struggling and calling out, immediately knowing that she was about to be violated by Wang Mingcheng. A flicker of hesitation crossed her mind, but it was quickly buried by a darker thought.
If Fu Shiyue found out that Deer Miao was with him but had been used up by Wang Mingcheng, would he still want this worthless woman?
If he kicked Deer Miao to the curb, then she would have a chance!
Daydreaming about marrying into the Fu family, Deer Qingcheng opened the door to the equipment room, ready to call the teacher and classmates over to watch.
Unexpectedly, two figures stood at the doorway.
Deer Qingcheng tensed and took a cautious step back. “What do you want?”
After not seeing Deer Miao for a long while, Xu Jin had a bad feeling. Ignoring the gym teacher’s shouts, she pulled Wang Gege away from the group and rushed to the equipment room to find her.
She didn’t expect to run into Deer Qingcheng here.
Xu Jin, Wang Gege, and Deer Miao were in the same class, while Deer Qingcheng was in the same department but a different major; they occasionally met in large lectures.
Deer Qingcheng often picked on Deer Miao, so none of them had good feelings toward her.
Wang Gege narrowed her eyes suspiciously. “Deer Qingcheng, what are you doing here?”
“Of course, I’m here to get the equipment for class.” Deer Qingcheng quickly shut the door. “You’re looking for Deer Miao? She’s not inside.”
Deer Qingcheng didn’t have gym class today; she was clearly lying!
Xu Jin crossed her arms and sneered coldly, “Why are you so nervous, Deer Qingcheng? You haven’t even been asked, and you’re already confessing?”
Feigning calm, Deer Qingcheng replied, “Nervous? You came looking for Deer Miao, right? You’re too late — she just took the stuff and left!”
“Really?” Xu Jin grabbed a handful of Deer Qingcheng’s hair. “I fucking hate liars like you who don’t think before lying!”
“Xu Jin, you’re crazy! Let go!” Deer Qingcheng’s scalp tingled as she screamed and slapped at Xu Jin’s hand.
Wang Gege shoved the door open as Xu Jin dragged Deer Qingcheng into the equipment room.
“Miao Miao!”
Seeing Wang Mingcheng choking Deer Miao by the neck, Wang Gege went pale with shock. Without hesitation, she grabbed a baseball bat and swung it wildly at Wang Mingcheng’s head.
“Ah!” Wang Mingcheng screamed miserably, releasing Deer Miao and clutching his head as he fell against a nearby shelf.
“Miao Miao, are you okay?” Wang Gege hurried to help Deer Miao up. Seeing her clothes disheveled and bruises on her collarbone, her hands trembled.
“Cough, cough...” Deer Miao held her neck, gasping heavily over the table.
When the pain in her lungs eased, her eyes red at the corners, she stood up and grabbed a badminton racket. While Wang Mingcheng was still down by the shelf, she struck his face hard.
“Ah!”
“Ah!”
Each blow left red marks on Wang Mingcheng’s face. Even Wang Gege was startled by Deer Miao’s fierce strength.
Wang Mingcheng cried out in pain repeatedly, drawing the attention of passersby outside.
“Mr. Fu, the gym can be used as a competition venue. This way, please, I’ll show you around...”
The director was guiding Fu Shiyue into the gym, explaining the layout when a clattering noise suddenly interrupted them.
“What’s that sound?”
The group stopped, warily looking toward the equipment room.
Fu Shiyue recognized Wang Mingcheng’s cries and found them somewhat familiar.
The director wanted to check it out, but Fu Shiyue was quicker, moving toward the equipment room.
He twisted the door handle but found it blocked. Frowning, he pushed hard, forcing the door open just a crack.
Inside was a mess. Deer Miao had beaten Wang Mingcheng into a crouch, clutching his head in a corner.
Xu Jin was pulling Deer Qingcheng’s hair, her palm raised, ready to slap Deer Qingcheng’s twisted and ugly face.
The scene froze as several pairs of eyes stared at Fu Shiyue.
Why was it him?
“Fu... huh!” Deer Qingcheng tried to call for help, but Xu Jin quickly covered her mouth.
“Mr. Fu, what’s going on inside?” Several girls heard the leader’s voice and instantly tensed up.
Fu Shiyue closed the door and turned calmly. “Nothing. A few students were doing physical training inside and knocked over some shelves.”
“The gym is so large, why would they train in the equipment room? No, I have to see which little brats are causing trouble. There’s a lot of equipment in there — if they break something, I can’t explain it to the school.”
Fu Shiyue stood firm by the door, expression cold. “Director, don’t waste my time. My time is valuable.”
The director met Fu Shiyue’s gaze, feeling uneasy, and gave up on going inside. Instead, he forced a smile. “Mr. Fu, I’ll continue the tour with you.”
Fu Shiyue signaled his assistant with a glance and followed the director away.
“Miao Miao, luckily the one who opened the door just now was your uncle, or we would have been discovered!” Wang Gege emerged from behind the door.
Deer Miao moved her lips but refused to admit that he had just covered for her. She was already thinking about how to explain it later.
“You can’t even guard a door,” Xu Jin sneered at her.
“Who told you the lock was broken? Your uncle’s grip is really strong...” Wang Gege shook her sore hand as the door was pushed open again with a loud creak.
They all jumped in fright.
A handsome, scholarly-looking man wearing glasses poked his head in. “Miss Deer, I’m Mr. Fu’s assistant. Do you need any help?”
Deer Miao coldly declined, “No.”
“Oh, okay.” The assistant immediately withdrew his head and stood outside, sending a message to Fu Shiyue —
“Mr. Fu, Miss Deer is in good physical condition.
Her fighting spirit is strong.
Mood status: poor!”
“Keep watch. Don’t let her get hurt.”
“Yes.”
The assistant stood guard outside.
The three of them gagged Deer Qingcheng and Wang Mingcheng, tying them up together.
Deer Miao took Deer Qingcheng’s phone to delete the videos and accidentally discovered the chat history between Deer Qingcheng and Fu Yanxi.
