Volume One, Chapter 53: I Give Myself to You as a Gift
It turned out that last night, Xie Yong and Xie Feng went to see Tang Yumei under the guise of bidding her farewell before her trip to the United States, but in reality, they had an ulterior motive.
Appealing to reason and emotion, the two men reminisced about the days when they were a family of three, lulling Tang Yumei into a false sense of security with sentimentality. After plying her with some drinks, amidst the hazy atmosphere, Xie Feng secretly used a mold to copy Tang Yumei's villa key.
Furthermore, while Xie Yong was keeping Tang Yumei engaged in conversation, Xie Feng went out to the courtyard, inspected the security cameras, and sabotaged them.
After the two left, Xie Feng used the mold to forge a new key.
Of course, Xie Yong and Xie Feng technically had the right to ask for a key to the villa. But doing so would have exposed them.
Right now, only Tang Yumei possessed a key, so if anything happened to Zhou Yang, Tang Yumei would be the sole suspect.
As for whether this would implicate Tang Yumei, Xie Yong was not concerned. Deep down, he harbored resentment toward her, and if she were to be implicated, it would be the exact outcome he desired most.
Last night, taking advantage of the drinks he shared with Tang Yumei, Xie Yong had even tested the waters to see if they could reconcile and resume marital relations. He deeply regretted that for all these years, he had never been able to share a pillow with Tang Yumei.
Though she had consumed a significant amount of alcohol, Tang Yumei's mind remained clear, and she drew a strict boundary between them.
This rejection stirred a deep hatred within Xie Yong.
As for Xie Feng, he had been thoroughly brainwashed by his father. Initially, he worried that such a scheme would drag his mother, Tang Yumei, into trouble. However, Xie Yong repeatedly reminded him that he was Tang Yumei's sole heir, and if anything happened to her, all of her assets would naturally fall under his name.
Xie Feng's relationship with Tang Yumei, as well as with his maternal grandparents, was not particularly close, and currently, he could not gain any real benefits from her. With his father putting it that way, his heart began to waver.
Thus, this plan served two purposes with a single stroke.
"You need to get this done soon because in a few days, my ex-wife is leaving for abroad, and the villa will be listed online for sale!" Xie Yong said. "It will be much harder to handle once that happens."
"Don't worry!" Liu Dafei replied. "Pay me the money first."
"I can give you a million as an advance, and the rest will be paid after the job is done," Xie Yong said.
"You don't trust me?" Liu Dafei frowned.
"If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't have come to you in the first place!" Xie Yong retorted.
"The advance cannot be less than three million," Liu Dafei insisted.
Xie Yong gritted his teeth. "Fine! Come with me to get it in a moment!"
Liu Dafei reached out his hand to Xie Feng. "Give me the key, and by the way, send me a few recent photos of the target so I don't mistake the person."
"Alright!" Xie Feng said. "I don't have his photos on my phone right now, though. I'll need to go to his company to grab a few clear ones."
"Fine, just get them to me before we make a move," Liu Dafei said as he reached for the key.
"Wait!" Xie Feng withdrew his hand, keeping the key, and said, "Remember, this has nothing to do with us. Once the job is done, destroy the key!"
"Don't worry, you can completely trust my professionalism," Liu Dafei said.
"OK!"
The two sides shook hands, sealing the cooperation.
...
Three days later.
Nighttime.
Inside the villa, candlelight, tall wine glasses, and a table full of luxurious ingredients set the scene.
Tang Yumei was leaving for North America tomorrow, and tonight, she was fully prepared.
The two sat across from each other at the table, the atmosphere thick with romantic tension.
"Zhou Yang, try this!"
Tang Yumei was dressed in revealing attire today—a pair of yoga pants paired with a long white shirt—and she looked radiant. She kept placing food on Zhou Yang's plate, seemingly thoroughly enjoying the dynamic.
"Sister Mei, you eat too!" Zhou Yang said.
They drank and chatted, reminiscing about how they first met and every detail of the journey that brought them here. There was laughter, touching moments, and reluctance to part.
Carried away by the drinks, Tang Yumei moved over to sit beside Zhou Yang, murmuring softly, "Zhou Yang, actually, Sister knows every time you take care of things yourself."
"Ah?" Zhou Yang blinked. "How do you know?"
"Don't you use tissues?" Tang Yumei gave a mysterious smile. "Though I have to scold you—even if you're young and in good shape, you shouldn't squander it like that! Every couple of days? It's such a waste."
"Hehehe, that's because I'm with such a great beauty every day, I just can't help myself!" Zhou Yang said.
"It's been hard on you," Tang Yumei sighed. She suddenly stood up and straddled Zhou Yang's lap. "Today, you don't have to hold back anymore. Sister is giving herself to you as a gift."
"Sister Mei!"
Emboldened by the alcohol, Zhou Yang abandoned his restraint and gently stroked Tang Yumei's cheeks.
The two locked lips in a passionate embrace.
In the heat of the moment, several plates were knocked off the table and shattered.
"Zhou Yang, I want to go to your room," Tang Yumei said, breathless.
"Alright!"
Zhou Yang scooped Tang Yumei up in his arms, carried her into his bedroom, and closed the door.
At that exact moment, Liu Dafei and Big Head slipped into the villa.
It was already past eleven, and with all the lights in the villa turned off, they assumed Zhou Yang and Tang Yumei had already gone to sleep.
Unlocking the front door with the copied key, the two men pulled down their black ski masks and quietly crept inside.
To their surprise, the dining table in the main hall still had lit candles, though the illumination was dim.
"Brother Fei, did you get the target's photos sent over?" Big Head whispered.
"Not yet!" Liu Dafei replied. "Doesn't matter, though. Zhou Yang is the only man living in this villa."
He then gave Big Head a low warning: "Turn on your phone video recorder first. Later, I'll extract a clip to send to the employer to collect the remaining balance."
"Got it!" Big Head switched on his phone's camera.
Following the layout clues provided by Xie Feng, the two men crept stealthily toward the bedroom door.
Right then, a soft moan escaped from Tang Yumei inside the room.
"What the fuck?"
Liu Dafei was utterly taken aback. "What are they doing in there..."
Big Head whispered under his breath, "That sound is way too enchanting!"
Liu Dafei took a deep breath, silently cursing Xie Feng in his heart. Didn't you say Zhou Yang was just your mother's tenant? This clearly looked like they were sleeping together!
Since things had turned out this way, the two men had no choice but to wait for an opportunity.
However, Liu Dafei and Big Head were also hot-blooded young men, and this kind of clandestine atmosphere stirred a sense of thrill within them. They crouched by the door to eavesdrop.
Big Head even kept the video and audio recording running the entire time.
After half an hour or so, as the sounds reached a soaring crescendo, they gradually subsided.
The muffled sound of conversation drifted from inside.
The voices were too low for them to catch clearly, but they distinctly heard the words "turn over."
And then, the long symphony began anew.
Left with no alternative, the two waited bitterly outside. Growing tired of holding the phone, Big Head casually grabbed a small phone stand from the table, positioned the device at a suitable angle, and left it recording.
Another half hour passed before the noises finally ceased.
They heard the sound of someone stepping out of bed inside the room.
"Quick, hide behind the sofa!"
Dafei and Big Head scrambled to conceal themselves behind the couch, completely forgetting to retrieve the phone.
The next second, the bedroom door swung open.
Tang Yumei walked out, her face flushed with lingering passion, pulling up her trousers as she walked.
Because the living room was somewhat cluttered and the candlelight was dim, she failed to notice the recording smartphone hidden in the shadows.
