Chapter 109: Aren't You Coming Out Yet?
“What is the Five-Origin Divine Golden Thread? A primordial artifact?” Little Baldy, startled at first when Xia suddenly challenged Feng Shang, now calm as the situation settled, asked out of curiosity.
“Master Zhi Qian, this treasure Feng Gongzi possesses is something even His Highness the Sect Leader likely does not have. This is the first time I’ve seen it myself. Young master, your status is noble, yet your soul artifact is only at the peak of the Four-Origin level. Feng Gongzi’s Five-Origin artifact, huh... truly terrifying,” Old Yuan remarked with deep feeling.
A primordial soul artifact is a rare treasure, capable not only of protecting one’s spirit but also wielding immense power.
The Five-Origin level represents the pinnacle among soul treasures.
“This Five-Origin Divine Golden Thread of mine is incomplete, only sixty-three strands remain. In its perfect state, it should have ninety-nine. The missing thirty-six strands govern the core path of soul decisiveness! Now it can only serve for self-defense,” Feng Shang explained, his gaze icy as it fixed on Xia.
The fine golden threads shimmered with a misty glow. After entwining and destroying the soul-annihilating spiral light, they traced back from Feng Shang’s brow to his primordial spirit sea.
“Why have you brought us here? That beam of spiral light showed no mercy. If this child’s spirit is wounded, do you understand the consequences?” Qing Tian’e stared coldly at Xia, her tone mirroring Feng Shang’s exactly.
The previous strike had been merciless. Without his soul artifact’s protection, Feng Shang would likely have suffered mental collapse, drifting into madness or worse.
“This star domain has been sealed by me; no communication with the outside is possible. As for the reason, you destroyed my divine shrine, so I destroyed you,” Xia said flatly, her words brief and detached, as if she had long since severed all earthly emotions, sending a chill into the hearts of those present.
“She’s the one behind the divine shrines—that means she created them, stirring chaos in the Ancient Primordial Cultivation Domain? Has she brought us here to kill us?” Qing’er frowned, piecing together the sequence of events.
Little Baldy and the others came from the Primordial Sect, likely having destroyed multiple divine shrines along the way, drawing this woman’s attention. Feng Shang himself had also destroyed a shrine en route and was targeted as a result.
“So you’re the god who created the divine shrines? Destroy us? You’ve got quite the nerve,” Feng Shang scrutinized Xia, especially eyeing the Moonlight Longsword at her waist, then said, “I wasn’t going to seek you out, but you came to me instead. Good. Stirring up a tidal wave of divine shrines, wreaking havoc across the star domain—your sins run deep. And with so many treasures on you, you’re a fat target!”
“That person’s so thin, how is she fat?” Little Baldy asked, puzzled.
“Fool, it’s a metaphor,” Feng Shang replied.
Xia listened quietly to Feng Shang’s words, a faint smile touching the corner of her lips. She then floated backward, white mist swirling around her, hazy and sacred.
Suddenly, a tinkling sound rang out.
A boundary stone appeared, its five-colored runes flowing and stirring the distant mist into a roiling storm. A colossal, boundless star mountain hurtled swiftly toward them.
Qing Tian’e’s expression changed abruptly, sensing danger. A protective light shield descended over the group.
At the same time, a colossal claw struck, unleashing a chain of destructive rules that shattered the star mountain upon impact, reducing it to countless fragments and debris.
“That sword at her waist is really beautiful. Uncle E, help me grab it,” Feng Shang communicated mentally.
“Escaping this time is already fortunate. This star domain is sealed by a high-level killing formation, well prepared for hostile forces. Don’t think beyond that,” Qing Tian’e responded.
“That won’t do. Uncle E, don’t be afraid. I have plenty of extinguishing talismans and weapons here. Whatever you need, I’ll provide. Dealing with a mere woman is nothing,” Feng Shang said confidently.
Qing Tian’e was speechless.
“The sixth son of the Heavenly E, unrivaled across a thousand domains, missing for an entire era, now fallen to guarding a child,” Xia’s voice was soft but sharp. As she spoke, the mist thickened around them, and over a dozen more star mountains charged in.
“Whoever you are, release the seals here quickly. Among these two children, one is from Nine Star City, the other from the Primordial Sect. You can judge for yourself,” Qing Tian’e said coldly.
With that, Qing Tian’e expanded her massive form and let out a piercing roar, scattering divine light that caused all the star mountains to explode.
“People from the Primordial Sect may leave; those from Nine Star City will remain,” Xia declared as she rose into the air. Her white robes fluttered, the Moon Punishment Divine Sword gleaming in her pure jade hand, radiant and concealing unparalleled sharpness.
Her gaze pierced the void, resting on the group Qing Tian’e was fiercely protecting.
Since Primordial Sect members were present, the soul-sealing extermination formation could not be fully activated, so Qing Tian’e had to be defeated first, then the sect members expelled.
“Hmm?” Qing Tian’e’s expression faltered upon hearing this, her mind racing: Primordial Sect people can leave, but those from Nine Star City must stay? Is there some grudge between her and Nine Star City?
No, something feels wrong.
A bad premonition rose within her.
“Silver Flame, aren’t you coming out?!” Suddenly, Qing Tian’e shouted loudly toward Feng Shang’s side, her voice shaking the heavens and earth, causing eardrums to ache. Little Baldy and the others were frozen in place, stunned.
“Could Uncle Silver Flame have arrived too?” Little Huang blinked her big eyes, looking around in wonder.
Bang!
No one expected that within the wreckage of the golden Dao ship emerging from the time-space vortex, a small piece fluttered out, radiating a dazzling silver light.
Immediately, an overwhelming and majestic aura, rivaling even Qing Tian’e’s, descended from that piece of silver shipwreck and spread thunderously throughout the star domain!
A towering silver figure, over a hundred meters tall, with formidable presence, stood upright. His muscles were powerful, and his body was enveloped in gleaming silver flames.
“Brother Qing E,” Silver Flame greeted Qing Tian’e with a nod upon emerging.
“A hidden master of cultivation still concealed,” Xia’s beautiful eyes flickered with surprise. Until Silver Flame appeared, she had not sensed his presence. This star domain was under a soul-sealing extermination formation, a realm of absolute time and space.
To remain undetected even by her insight speaks volumes about his concealment skill.
“Uncle Silver Flame, you’re here too!” Feng Shang was delighted. Despite Silver Flame’s strength as the fifth-floor guardian of the Star Sky Tower, he had been hiding on the golden Dao ship all along without them noticing.
“Young master, young ladies. The Nine Exalted ordered me to protect you all. I thought I wouldn’t need to show myself on this journey, but I didn’t expect such unforeseen dangers,” Silver Flame said with a smile.
“The Nine Exalted are truly indulgent, assigning two masters to guard us,” the young man shook his head with a hint of apology. Throughout this journey, his presence had been barely felt. Though he was Feng Shang’s teacher, his combat prowess left much to be desired.
Twice when Feng Shang faced peril, he was unable to assist.
Little Baldy looked on with envy. Having two master cultivators guarding them was truly impressive! Unlike Dan Ya, who only had a broken sword and an old man for protection.
