Chapter 105: Entering the Wrong Room

Fang Xia had also had a bit to drink today, and the unease weighing on his heart finally dissipated like smoke in the wind. Of course, one must allow oneself some relaxation now and then.
“How was it? Did you enjoy the dancing?”
Liu Rui approached, holding a glass of red wine.
Perhaps due to the wine she had consumed, a gentle blush colored her cheeks, and she radiated an unusual charm.
“Not bad,” Fang Xia answered honestly.
Was there any need to ask? The atmosphere of the entire room spoke for itself.
“Hmph, just you wait,” she said with a competitive glint.
A woman’s spirit of rivalry was not to be taken lightly.
No sooner had one dance ended and before the next began, Liu Rui moved to the center of the room.
“Baixing, Xiaochun.”
It was the first time Fang Xia had seen them dance.
Liu Rui’s elegance, Baixing’s softness, even Li Xiaochun—when she danced, not a trace remained of the fierce female warrior she usually was.
Dizziness washed over him—he wasn’t sure if it was from the wine or the dancing.
After the three finished, the twin sisters took the stage to join the fun.
Though neither had formally studied dance, their identical appearances and perfectly synchronized movements attracted a chorus of wolf-like howls.
The party lasted well into the night.
As the housekeeper, Liu Rui had long been intoxicated, supported by a similarly drunken little girl and led off to bed.
Li Xiaochun and Baixing leaned on each other, laughing and crying in turns.
The twin sisters had disappeared, likely having already gone upstairs.
Fang Xia shook his head, feeling groggy, and stumbled up to the second floor.
In the living room, the doctor and the professor were quietly drinking alone. Seeing Fang Xia enter, they quickly moved to support him.
“I’m fine, you two carry on,” Fang Xia waved them off with a large hand. Amid their surprised looks, he turned and went into a room.
“Um… Brother Fang, did he take the wrong room? That’s supposed to be the room of the Jing sisters.”
“He probably made a mistake… Should we go get him?”
“Forget it, it’s only a matter of time. Let’s keep talking!”
Because of the wine, Jing Ru and Jing Yi had gone upstairs to sleep quite early.
After all, surrounded by so many men with hungry, wolfish eyes who seemed ready to devour them, the sisters could barely hold out.
They were nothing like Li Xiaochun—no matter how beautiful, no one dared to stare at her like that. She was a warrior, a rose with thorns, and few dared to provoke her.
The two sisters, barely able to support each other, returned to the room, skipped the bath, and collapsed onto the bed, shedding their clothes as they fell asleep.
The younger sister’s long, pale leg was draped over the elder’s, who embraced her in return.
One of the younger sister’s small hands rested on the elder’s half-exposed, rounded form, pressing it slightly out of shape.

The scene was strikingly intimate.
Drowsy, the elder sister sensed someone else behind her but paid no mind; the wine had made her very sleepy.
At that moment, a large hand pressed on her waist, palm positioned just right, with a bit of force…
Perhaps the pinch was a little painful, for an unconscious hum escaped her lips.
Then, she released the hand that was caressing her sister’s delicate face and placed it atop the large hand, preventing it from moving.
Maybe due to the cramped space, she shifted her body slightly, feeling uncomfortable.
…
Within minutes, the elder sister suddenly woke up, and the person behind her seemed startled awake as well.
She turned her head, and their eyes met.
Another scream erupted, waking all three in the bed.
“Sis, what are you doing? It’s the middle of the night. Why the noise?”
The younger sister barely opened her eyes, saw the darkness outside, and was ready to return to sleep.
But on the other side, both were stunned, wide-eyed.
“You?”
Fang Xia gave an awkward smile; it seemed he suddenly understood what had happened.
He had walked into the wrong room?
He swore it was no premeditated act—just a mistake.
Yet, under these circumstances, there was no use in discussing the reason.
Fortunately, Fang Xia didn’t mind, and Jing Ru seemed unbothered as well.
So they simply went along with the mistake.
Half an hour later.
“Should I wake my sister up?”
“Better not.”
“If you won’t wake her, then you go ahead. I’ll make room for you.”
“That’s not right, is it?”
Though her words protested, her body betrayed her honesty.
Following the path the elder sister made, Fang Xia squeezed through.
Seeing the two identical figures, he felt somewhat dazed.
“Are they really identical?”
“Really.”
“That’s unfortunate—two people, yet no visual difference.”
“Then, should I go over too?”
“Mm, that’s much better.”
Facing the two identical faces before him, the feeling was now complete.
Fang Xia couldn’t help but marvel: indeed, they were twins.
…
9 a.m.
The supply drop box still hadn’t arrived. It seemed truly lost. No one knew when it would come next.
Liu Rui sat comfortably on the sofa, her head resting on Baixing’s shoulder, eyes half-closed, savoring this rare moment of leisure.
Li Xiaochun was even more relaxed, resting her head on Baixing’s long, shapely leg while holding a manga book.
Baixing looked on with resignation at the two.
“Rui, I’ve run out of manga to read. Has the next issue come out yet?”
Liu Rui, still half-lidded, replied lazily,
“Not yet. You can read something else for now.”
“I won’t. I must see the second half. I need to know if the heroine dies.”
“Don’t worry, she definitely won’t die. Even I, who never read manga before, know that.”
Li Xiaochun was engrossed in the manga. Before, she had been too focused on her phone; only after the apocalypse did she discover the joy of comics.
“By the way, where did Brother Fang go?”
Baixing suddenly asked, puzzled.
In the living room, all six women had gathered, even Li Xiaochun, who had drunk the most yesterday, was now awake.
Their enhanced constitution as Fighters allowed them to recover quickly from alcohol.
“Since we’re all here, then…”
Everyone looked toward the last closed door—the twins’ room.
“Hmm, I remember now. Last night I was upstairs drinking with An Qingyu. I think Brother Fang came up, a bit drunk and confused, maybe took the wrong room?”
Dr. Jiang hesitated as he spoke.
“Huh?”
All eyes turned toward him.
“He probably got drunk and made a mistake? I don’t know. I was drunk too. Maybe you should ask Qingyu?”
An Qingyu quickly waved her hand, also groggy. She couldn’t remember much—and even if she did, it was better to say she didn’t.
After a few days together, she had gotten along fairly well with the women upstairs.
She was naturally beautiful and talented. Previously, she had misjudged Fang Xia as similar to the last team leader, but now that she understood him, she no longer held any grudges.
