Fang Xia, holding two battle blades, took a few steps forward and pointed his weapons in the direction of the group.

“Heh, you must be joking, brother. Whether you want to or not, you’ll have to let us pass. And you want me, Lone Wolf, to hand over my own brothers to you? What do you think you are?”

This pretty boy must be an idiot, he thought. If you want us to move, just say so—why should I give you my men? Where does this lunatic come from? But those girls with him are quite something. Maybe I should take this chance to finish him off and claim them all for myself.

Fang Xia smiled.

The next second, Bai Xing moved.

The burly man instinctively raised his battle blade to block, but his blade met only empty air.

“Now, can we have a proper talk?”

As Fang Xia finished speaking, Bai Xing appeared at the man’s side, her dagger pressed against his throat. Just a bit more pressure and he would meet his end.

The burly man couldn’t fathom how this woman could move so fast. Even if she had the element of surprise, he was still a third-tier fighter.

But even among fighters of the same rank, there could be vast differences in strength—especially when facing someone like Bai Xing, who had used an enhancement serum.

Even without using her abilities, Bai Xing’s speed left him in the dust. He had little hope of ever fending off her attacks in his lifetime.

“Brother, this is Dawn City. Didn’t you see the rules when you entered? No killing your own kind.”

Lone Wolf forced himself to sound tough.

Fang Xia gave a strange smile and produced an identification document.

“Did you know, teams with territory aren’t bound by that rule?”

He’d learned this from the young lady at the business center. Did people really think the fee for founding a team was just for a certificate? That document was proof of identity. In this apocalypse, killing a few people meant nothing—as long as you were strong enough, Dawn City wouldn’t bother acting as anyone’s avenger.

Even in his previous life, after six years of Dawn City’s existence, deaths inside the city were still common. The three major factions ran wild within the walls.

Someone like Fang Xia—if killed by the three major factions—wouldn’t even have anyone left to collect his corpse. Did you think the city would avenge you? Wishful thinking.

Lone Wolf knew, too. Even if Fang Xia killed him, at most Dawn City would make a show of warning Fang Xia and nothing more.

“Those people targeted me before. I take grudges seriously. Hand them over and step aside, and today’s business ends here.”

Fang Xia had already stepped up to Lone Wolf. Lone Wolf didn’t recognize him, but Fang Xia knew Lone Wolf well.

In his previous life, Lone Wolf was the leader of one of the three major factions. This burly man was the head of the Lone Wolf Gang.

“Bring them here. Didn’t you hear me? Hurry up!”

Lone Wolf shouted. He had no intention of losing his life here. If he fell today, he could always get revenge next time. But if he lost his life, it would be over for good.

Liu Rui led several women over, pointing out the people in question.

“Ladies, we’ve never even met. How could we have wronged you?”

The accused men’s faces turned pale as they pleaded their innocence.

“Kneel.”

Liu Rui showed no mercy, using her battle blade to force them to their knees.

Damn it, how did she know we were behind what happened last time? After we failed, we stayed far away and even lost several brothers.

Fang Xia’s gaze swept over, pinning the men with a cold, unblinking stare.

What is with this guy’s eyes? How can he be so sure it was us? Luckily, our big brother and second brother haven’t been found. They’ll definitely avenge me.

There were two who hadn’t been caught? Their leader and his deputy?

That wouldn’t do. Since they were all here, he had to erase the problem at the root.

Fang Xia approached slowly. The kneeling men looked up at him, begging for mercy, but he answered with a swing of his battle blade.

A massive head rolled to the ground, eyes wide in disbelief and horror.

The rest leapt up to flee, but the women beside Fang Xia acted swiftly and decisively, each taking down one man—leaving the Lone Wolf Gang dumbstruck.

This man’s a madman. These women are just as ruthless. Do they even flinch at killing?

Madmen, all of them. Will Dawn City really let this go?

You killed my brother. I’ll remember this. One day, I’ll kill you and make those little sluts wish they were dead.

“Found him.”

Fang Xia muttered to himself, and turned to strike another man, this time with the back of his blade.

“What are you doing? You already killed the ones you wanted! You think we’re so easy to bully? We’d rather fight to the death!”

Lone Wolf roared from the other side. Many around him drew their weapons, leveling them at Fang Xia. If he made another move, they weren’t about to just stand by.

“Tell me—where’s your second-in-command? If you answer, I won’t kill you.”

Fang Xia squatted down, looking at the leader who’d been knocked to the ground.

“Haha, what second-in-command? Trying to use such a clumsy excuse to weaken the Lone Wolf Gang? Go ahead and kill us all if you dare!”

Fang Xia sighed. It seemed he wouldn’t find the last man today.

Any further, and he’d hit the Lone Wolf Gang’s bottom line—unless he was ready for all-out war.

Not worth it. He’d have to let it go.

He dispatched the leader, then swept the crowd with his gaze. Every eye burned with rage; one more move and a battle would erupt.

Forget it. It’s just one man. He could handle them now, and he wouldn’t fear them in the future either.

With Fang Xia leading, they made their way to their own territory in grand procession.

Dawn City had done a decent job: the territory was fenced off with wooden barriers, and guards were stationed there. Until the land was sold, no one was allowed in.

Fang Xia produced his identification. After the guards verified it, they handed over the site to him without delay. This godforsaken place—hardly a soul in sight—he never wanted to come back.

Before the apocalypse, this had been on the outskirts of White City.

There were few tall buildings here; instead, it was mostly rural mud-brick houses, which suited Fang Xia’s needs perfectly.

He had no idea when the next earthquake would strike. If he didn’t have time to leave the city, at least he could minimize losses by staying in his territory.

At the center of the grounds stood the home of a pre-apocalypse tycoon: a tall wall enclosing some two thousand square meters, with three villas inside.

The roads within were paved with asphalt, and faint traces of old landscaping could still be seen.

“Clean up. We’ll live here.”

Three hundred women set to work, and in less than twenty minutes, the villas were spotless.

Fang Xia headed straight for the central villa. It had everything—a garden, a swimming pool—though those were now useless.

There were bedrooms on the first floor, and four rooms on the second: a master suite, two guest rooms, and a study.

Naturally, Fang Xia moved into the master suite, leaving the rest to Liu Rui to arrange.
